Gamers warmly met the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Yesterday Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and interested players have already managed to try out and share their impressions. In general, the audience was satisfied with a remake – at the time of publication, the Title news has a “very positive” rating of 81 % in Steam based on more than 3,000 reviews, and the peak online lingered at a mark of 19,634 by simultaneous user.

For the most part, players praise improved graphics, increased ease of management and fidelity to the updated game to the original source. Meanwhile, from the shortcomings, traditional problems with the optimization of the Unreal Engine 5 engine are most often distinguished. Also, some gamers did not like the new color scheme and certain changes in combat mechanics.

Below we have collected some of the most prominent reviews – both positive and negative.

I did not play the original, in HD Remaster too, so I can perceive this game as something new for myself.

In general, everything suits, out of obvious minuses, I can only note that the insufficient smoothness of some animations, as if they were transferred to the same form in which they were, although the same was observed in the remake of the Resident Evil 4 .

I like small locations on the contrary, because I am already tired of endless fuss on huge maps. Stealth is convenient, firing is pleasant. A good atmosphere, characters, humor and pathos speeches of the villains, as well as steep cats. Of course, the local plot is difficult to perceive with an absolutely serious face, but from this it does not become bad.

Optimization – typical UE5, without small dances in any way. I put DLSS in NATVA, textures for high, the rest for the middle, set up generation in a separate software and rejoice at 60 frames.

I recommend those who are tired of modern conveyor games.

Kassare, "Pray Up"

The long-awaited remake still came out and, https://lowdeposit-casinos.co.uk/review/iwinfortune-casino/ to be honest, I have mixed feelings from it.

About good:
– The option with "modern" control and the camera is felt as a sip of fresh air after wooden control with PS2. Quick access to radio/camouflage without need to climb into the menu, an adequate indication that you are within a radius for CQC is that I am directly welcome.
– Russian translation. I have not tried it, but the fact of its presence is already pleasing.
– the ability to load without exit to the main menu.
– Small trifles, like stake in the hair, a sneakers of leaves, sticking dirt and t. D.
-Finally, the normal non-cranberry translation of the names of locations into Russian.

About bad:
– UE5. In some places the game looks quite tolerable, and in some places as an average Polish shooter of 2015, but coated with branded by Heniril’s soap and plastic. Was it really so difficult to properly fall at the feet of Hittori Cambodia and ask him to share Fox Engine’s or Decim?
– Optimization. Even with a computer suitable for the recommended requirements (or just below them) with RTX 3060 and R5 3600 on board, the game manages to shy at all where there are shadows and shader water from 2004. There are no graphics settings as such. You can only choose presets of varying degrees of ugliness.
-As if something is wrong with AI. I twice passed the original on Hard and I do not remember that at some moments, AI was able to see me through the walls and from a large distance. In addition, I do not remember the AI hesked as much as he does it in the delta.
-Behind some damn stylized intro with the excellent performance of the title song, they changed the plot moments with paratroopers flying Ping under the cutting rumor of the cover of the cover.
– With stylization, in principle, everything is bad. Where in the original everything looked homogeneous and was abundantly flavored with a cinematic yellow filter, it looks like an asset flip with Anril Store.
– With the Russian language in textures, everything is very sad. I do not remember that in the original game there was a tarabarashchina and inscriptions from the category of “Swear, kill, love geese” and “Do not touch the wires with wet hands, they spoil and rust” from this.
-Something wrong with CQC. Combo from three blows as if slower than usual. Also, the ability to kick the enemy does not work to wake him.

Bottom line:
So damp that it caused me with soap poisoning, and D.Medicine will not help here. Let it still lie down in the oven. If you can’t wait to play in Mgs 3, it is better to buy the original from the master collection.

SOVIT YUNYUN, "finger down"

The game that is worth passing to everyone.

I did not pass the original Mgs 3, but has always been very interested in it. When I heard about the release of this “remister” (many simply call it “reskin” of the original game), he immediately decided to buy, despite the lags even in the then already released gameplay trailer.

And as if it were immediately expected that even on my more or less normal system, the game on UE5 will be with lags, stators and other problems (simply because the engine has very difficult optimization, and almost all large-scale games on UE5 suffer). But despite this, the game gave me 40-60 FPS at maximum settings (in 2013, when I played mainly on PS3, I could only dream of 30+ FPS), so I could more than enjoy it.

Now about the plot and gameplay, which were not processed from the original part, but the main thing that was changed is graphics, katsen and enemy AI AI. The plot is just a bomb. Very rarely, the game makes me really listen to all the dialogs and be in this interested. Unique characters in style Kojima, which are written with sensitivity and attention to details. And the dialogs are written simply at a different level. Of course, not without clicked and “Cheesy” phrases, but here you can see the influence of Western culture on a genius.

A little about gameplay. I passed Mgs V and it seemed to me difficult in terms of stealth and general understanding of the Cor of the Game Mechanic. Boy, Oh, Boy! As it turned out, in Mgs 3 two times more mechanic than in the subsequent parts of the series. Hunger, the environment and interaction with it, the treatment and search for resources are key “survival” mechanics that you have to face during the passage, in addition to getting rid of enemies and conversation on the codec with Major Tom.

In short, the general impression of the game:
1) gameplay: 9.2 out of 10. Among the stealth explosives Mgs Delta obviously in one of the first places, overtaking the rest of the series and the entire franchise Splinter Cell. Impressions are almost the same as from the first passage Hitman: Blood Money .
2) plot: 9.6 out of 10. Starting from the quality of the characters study and ending with the plot of the storyline, Mgs Delta Holds the player in the intrigue throughout the game. Above I can only put RDR 2, Disco Elysium and the first part of TLOU .
3) Optimization: UE5 out of 10. There is nothing to say here. There are various fixes to optimize games with UE5 if you need extra 5 FPS, but the picture can change significantly only after a large number of patches and fixes (and I write the review before the patch of the first day).
4) Genius: 10 out of 10. One of the best works of genius.

But in general, just play it, throw money on Steam, play less than 2 hours, and if you don’t like it, then make a refund and buy yourself Hades and a bunch of games in addition.

Pros:
– Cool new graphics.
– CQC is now easier to use.
– Camouflage can be equipped with a cross -cutter without the need to pause the game.
– New and more reactive AI.
– Improved weapons.
– Fidelity to the original plot.
– Original voice acting.

Cons:
– High price.
-For some reason, the CQC system has become slower. Combo of three strokes Snake is not as fast as in the original Snake Eater.
– The shelter system has become more clumsy, and often leads to the fact that you are noticed simply because you do not have time to switch.
– The lines of viewing of opponents are unstable. Sometimes the guards are blind, and sometimes they see you so well that it seems like a game is dishonest.
– The complexity was not increased enough to compensate for the improved skills of the Snay in handling weapons, allowing it to shoot a whole heap of people and at the same time move.
– The performance is quite low, and the settings that allow it to fix it is not enough. There is no way to reduce the density of the foliage, reduce the resolution of the shadows (they can simply be turned off) or reduce the resolution of particles effects. Low elders completely spoil the graphics, which is why the image looks too blurry. This version greatly complicates the availability for those who use not the most modern iron.

Nit -picking (my subjective moments with which not everyone will agree, and this is normal):
– In close combat, Snape seems too aggressive. He attacks as Batman, while in the original his style of blows was more controlling.
– The faces of some characters look a little different, in my opinion.
-some areas (for example, a cave after a fight with an ocelot) are too bright, which is why the torch and cigarettes are practically useless.
– The choice of realistic graphics instead of stylized design reduces the ability of the audience to abstract and accept some cringjo moments.
– Although this is subjective, the rejection of the color scheme of the original game in favor of more “realistic” lighting significantly reduces the emotional effect of many Kitszen and the general atmosphere of many locations. This makes them much less interesting for visual perception. I know that there is a “classic” filter, but even he, in my opinion, could not fully convey the cold and warm tones of the original game.

Conclusion:
Cool remix, but definitely not a full replacement of the original, which today looks great today. I would still recommend the original.
